Jean Munson
 
is a founding member of The HEARTh.   She has a

background as a facilitator and trainer in the field of attitudinal

healing
.  Her interest developed as a result of studying

A Course in Miracles.  Jean received her training at the Washington

Center for Attitudinal Healing, now the Institute for the Advancement of

Service, in Washington, D.C., and locally at the Austin Center

for Attitudinal Healing, Austin, TX, where she served as

facilitator/trainer for 7 years.


Jean has facilitated workshops in Attitudinal Healing; Active Listening, Heart to Heart; The School Outreach Program in Austin; and Care of the Caregiver.  Attitudinal healing is a process of letting go of painful, fearful attitudes and recognizing that we have a choice to experience love or fear, peace or conflict.

Jean has also served as a volunteer coordinator for A Place of Hope in Marble Falls, and Girling Hospice where she trained and supervised volunteers in supporting patients.  Her volunteer work has included giving exercise classes and calling Bingo at senior facilities, as well as assisting in the Reading Program at a local elementary school.
